Cross Country Competes at the All-Ohio Championships
AKRON, OHIO – The Defiance College cross country team competed at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday afternoon hosted by the Akron Zips.
AKRON, OHIO – The Defiance College cross country team competed at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday afternoon hosted by the Akron Zips.
Sophomore Olivia Fett led the women's cross country team finishing 109th overall in the 142 runner field with a time of 26:14.01, while sophomore Kenna Bell finished 133rd with a time of 28:52.2.
On the men's side, the Yellow Jackets finished 18th in the 18 team field.
Freshman Sklyer JoHantgen led DC across the finish line finishing 131st with a time of 30:16.3.
Senior Daren Gies claimed a 135th place finish with a time of 31:26.0, followed by sophomore Tyler Hines in 138th , freshman Cameron Reed in 142nd and senior Brandon Zartman in 146th.
The Purple and Gold return to action on Friday, October 12 as they compete at the Jenna Strong Invitational.
