Track & Field opens indoor season at Tiffin
TIFFIN, Ohio – Four members of the Defiance College indoor track and field program made the trip to Tiffin University on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets competed as part of a strong field at the Tiffin Alumni Open.

Madi Bowman (Eaton/Eaton) tallied a sixth-place finish, the highest of the day for the Purple and Gold. The senior threw for 15.79 meters in the weight throw to pull in the top ten.
Carmen Caldwell (Brownstown, Mich./Woodhaven) finished 13th in the mile with her time of 7:25.64.
Kaitlyn Hughes (Van Wert/Crestview) ran a 35.02 in the 200 meter race. The Van Wert native's time landed her 33rd on the day.
On the men's side of action, Kaleb Tyree (Tiffin/Columbian) was the lone competitor for Defiance. The senior picked up a 17th place finish in the shot put with his throw of 11.76 m.
Defiance will take a break during the holiday season before returning to action on Saturday, January 11, as they travel to the Findlay Open.
