Track & Field Competes at the Bill Hayes Invitational Last Chance Meet

DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College track and field teams competed at Bill Hayes Invitational on Friday afternoon hosted by Indiana University.

The Purple and Gold were led by sophomore Spencer Ross in the javelin throw with an eighth place finish and a throw of 44.75 meters.

In the hammer throw, senior Javier Castillo registered a 14th place finish with a distance of 48.65 meters, while senior Andrew Falmer claimed a 16th place finish.

Sophomore Vince Jackson placed 14th in the javelin throw with a distance of 37.80 meters.

Junior Madi Bowman claimed a 19th place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 38.70 meters.
