Defiance Opens Outdoor Season at Rose-Hulman
TERRE HAUTE, IND. - The Defiance College men's track and field team opened the outdoor season at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invite hosted Saturday afternoon at the William M. Welch Track Complex.

Sophomore Vince Jackson led the way for the Purple and Gold as he won the high jump with a leap of 1.90 meters, while freshman Percy Daniel took second with a height of 1.75 meters.
Senior Andrew Fahler found success in the hammer throw claiming third with a toss of 48.96 meters, while senior Javier Castillo finished fourth with a distance of 48.64 meters.
In the javelin, sophomore Spencer Ross took third with a toss of 44.90 meters, while sophomore Cody Drumm-Turner claimed fourth spot with a distance of 42.81 meters.
On the track, sophomore Gabriel Caris took fifth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 53.09.
Defiance returns to action on Saturday, March 23 when they compete at the Indiana Wesleyan Invite.
