Men's Track Finishes Indoor Campaign
ADA, OHIO -- Three Defiance College men's track and field athletes finished up their indoor seasons on Saturday afternoon with the Ohio Northern University Polar Bear Last Chance Invitational.
ADA, OHIO -- Three Defiance College men's track and field athletes finished up their indoor seasons on Saturday afternoon with the Ohio Northern University Polar Bear Last Chance Invitational.
Senior Joshua Petro (Ocala, Fla./The Villages) wrapped up his indoor career with a second-place finish, a toss of 17.05 meters (55 feet, 11.25 inches), while junior Javier Castillo (Nogales, Ariz.) finished in the sixth spot with a throw of 15.79 meters (51 feet, 9.75 inches).
Also competing for the final time this indoor season was freshman Vincent Jackson (Mason). His clearance of 1.93 meters (6 feet, 4 inches) in the high jump placed him in the fifth spot in the meet.
The Yellow Jackets start their outdoor schedule on Saturday, Mar. 17 with a trip to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
