The Defiance men's soccer team was defeated by Hanover in penalty kicks, 5-4 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Game. The Yellow Jackets held the Panthers scoreless for 110 minutes but fell just short in the shootout to see their incredible playoff run come to an end.

Defiance junior forward Noah Svanberg (Grand Rapids, Ohio/Otsego) and freshman defender Josue Martinez (Dayton, Ohio/Fairmont) have been named to the All-Heartland Collegiate Atheltic Conference Second Team for their efforts this season. Junior defender Joshua Maurer (Springfield, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) earned a spot on the All-Honorable Mention team.

Men's soccer defeats Franklin to advance to HCAC Semifinals
The Defiance men's soccer team defeated Franklin by a score of 4-2 on Saturday night to advance to Heartland Colligate Athletic Conference Semifinals. The win is the Yellow Jackets' first playoff victory since they defeated Manchester 2-1 in the HCAC Semifinals on November 4, 2003.

The Defiance men's soccer team celebrated Senior Day against Earlham on Wednesday afternoon with a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Quakers. Fittingly, Defiance's seniors contributed significantly to the win with Chase Stiner recording a goal and an assist and Jeremy Jimenez netting the game-winning goal late in the second half.
