Men's Golf Continues to Dominate During Fall Campaign
OTTAWA LAKE, MICH. - The Defiance College men's golf team posted another dominate performance as they finished second in the eight team field at the Lourdes Invitational hosted at Legacy Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon.

The Course is a par 72, 6,895 yard course located in Ottawa, Lake Michigan.
The Yellow Jackets were led on the day by freshman Federico Gutierrez (Queretaro, Mexico) shooting a team-best 73, placing him tied for third overall.
Senior Stephan Dolan (Painesville Twp.) posted a strong finish for the Purple and Gold as he claimed the seventh spot carding a 74 through the 18-hole round.
Defiance College also saw improvements from freshman Diego Gonzalez (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) who finished 14th overall with 77 strokes, followed by sophomore Hayden Clingaman (Stryker) and freshman Oliver Thomas (Margaretta) in 28th place with 81 strokes a piece.
As individuals , freshman Nacho Araiza registered a 33rd place finish shooting a 82, while freshman Dominic Castelvetere (Mansfield) and Werner Heinze (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) finished tied for 46th with 88 strokes.
Senior Drake Moening (Defiance) rounded out the day for DC as he finished 52nd overall in the 56 man field with a score of 90 strokes.
Defiance returns to action on Friday, Sept. 12 as they host the 36-hole Defiance Invitational at Red hawk Golf Club in Findlay, Ohio.
