Goodrich Headlines Men's Basketball HCAC Honors

RICHMOND, IND. - Noah Goodrich (Oregon/Genoa) was recognized by Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for his efforts in the 2018-19 season on Wednesday afternoon. The recognition is Goodrich's first of his career.

Goodrich found his name on the HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team list, making him the sole honoree from Defiance men's basketball. During his senior campaign, Goodrich averaged 5.3 points per game while featuring in 25 games. The three-point specialist shot 35.4% (34-96) from beyond the arc, worthy of a top three percentage on the team and 13th in the HCAC. Goodrich tallied a team-high 90.9% (10-11) mark from the free-throw line.

The Oregon native tallied five double-digit scoring performances during the 2018-19 campaign, the largest of which came during the Purple and Gold Tournament. Goodrich scored a season-high 21 points against Geneva to open up the annual P&G tournament by way of a 66.7% (6-9) three-point mark, shooting 7-10 (70%) from the field, and going 1-2 (50%) from the free-throw line in just 11 minutes of action. The performance earned Goodrich a place on the 2018 Purple and Gold All-Tournament Team.

Defiance concluded the season with a 3-22 record, while going 1-17 in HCAC play under the guidance of head coach Scott Cutter.
