Defiance Adds Seven to Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its winter honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team on Wednesday, with Defiance placing seven student-athletes on the list. The seven award winners give DC five more than its 2009 winter total.

MINNEAPOLIS – Logan Wolfrum made history during his sophomore campaign on the hardwood with Defiance College and was recently selected by D3hoops.com as a Third-Team All-Midwest Region performer.

Defiance Places Four on HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2011 All-Sportsmanship Team on Tuesday for the winter seasons. The award is part of the league-wide initiative to promote good sportsmanship.

Wolfrum Dazzles in Season-Ending Victory Over Grizzlies
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s basketball team ended its 2010-2011 campaign on a high note, scoring an 88-85 victory against Franklin on Saturday behind 31 points and a near triple-double by Logan Wolfrum inside the Karl H. Weaner Community Center.

Wolfrum Makes History as DC Edges Bluffton in Overtime
BLUFFTON, Ohio – Defiance scored a thrilling, 66-62, overtime victory at Bluffton on Wednesday night to keep its postseason hopes alive and Logan Wolfrum became the first player in DC’s NCAA Division III era to collect 500 points, 100 assists and 100 rebounds in a single season.

Jackets Drop 56-55 Decision on Last-Second Free Throw
CINCINNATI, Ohio – Defiance led by two with 2:51 left to play, but went scoreless down the stretch, missing its last four shots of the game before Mount St. Joe hit a last-second free throw to steal a 56-55 win. DC (6-10 HCAC) is tied for seventh in the conference with two must-win games remaining in the regular season.

DC Runs Past Quakers to Keep HCAC Tourney Hopes Alive
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College got back in the win column with a 78-50 victory against Earlham on Wednesday night inside the Karl H. Weaner Community Center. The win snapped a six-game losing streak and pushed the Jackets back to within a single game of a spot in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament field with three games to play.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Less that 48 hours after Kyle Tietje matched a career high with 20 points on Thursday night, Kevin Tietje set a new career of his own with 21 points and notched his fourth double-double of the season with 11 rebounds and one block in a 72-67 setback at Transylvania.

HANOVER, Ind. – The Defiance College men’s basketball team lost for the fourth-straight time on Saturday, dropping an 80-68 contest at Hanover. The loss knocked DC two full games back of a potential bid into the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament with only six games to play.

ANDERSON, Ind. – Defiance College fell, 85-56, at Anderson on Wednesday night for its third setback in as many outings. The loss dropped the Jackets into a tie for seventh place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings with just seven games remaining in the regular season.
