DC Adds Two More to Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its winter honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team. Defiance College placed two student-athletes on the list to raise its 2009-2010 total to 17 entering the spring seasons.

No. 8 UW-Whitewater Rallies Past DC in NCAA Opening Round
WOOSTER, Ohio – Defiance College saw a six-point lead slip away in the final two minutes of Friday’s NCAA National Tournament game with No. 8 UW-Whitewater on the campus of Wooster. The Warhawks ended the game on a 10-0 spurt to hand DC a crushing, 75-71 defeat.

HCAC Honors Four Yellow Jackets, Names Sales MVP
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2010 All-HCAC honors on Tuesday, with DC’s Nick Sales earning Player-of-the-Year honors and Mike Floyd, Anthony Brown and Logan Wolfrum also being named as All-HCAC selections.

Defiance Wins HCAC Tournament Championship
ANDERSON, Ind. – Defiance College won its 26th conference championship in the history of the men’s basketball program with a 70-65 win at Anderson on Saturday night and claimed the HCAC’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

Defiance Advances to HCAC Finals With 72-59 Win
ANDERSON, Ind. – The Defiance College men’s basketball team defeated the second-seeded Hanover Panthers, 72-59, on Friday night in the HCAC Semifinals to earn the right to play for the HCAC Tournament Championship for the third time in the last four seasons.

DC Men Reach 20 Wins with 73-60 Victory at Franklin
FRANKLIN, Ind. – For just the second time since making the transition to the NCAA Division III ranks in 1991-1992 and the 15th time in school history, the Defiance College men’s basketball program reached the 20-win plateau in a single-season by scoring a 73-60 win at Franklin on Saturday.

Sales Leads Jackets Past Bluffton on Senior Night
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Nick Sales turned in a vintage effort in Wednesday’s Senior Night victory over rival Bluffton University, as the senior forward logged his 25th collegiate double-double to lead Defiance to the 70-60 win, while improving the Yellow Jackets to 123-61 all-time against the Beavers on the planks.

DC Grabs Votes, Preps to 'Black Out' Bluffton on Senior Night
DEFIANCE, Ohio – On the eve of hosting a ‘Black Out’ against Bluffton on Wednesday night inside the Karl H. Weaner Community Center, Defiance College netted eight points in the latest national poll released by www.D3hoops.com. It marked the sixth time this season that DC has earned votes in the national poll.

Defiance Men Complete Season Sweep of Mount St. Joseph
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Mike Floyd buried all six of his shots in the second half and scored 17 of his game-high 23 points in the final period to lead Defiance College to the 83-64 win against Mount St. Joseph on Saturday afternoon. The victory was DC’s fourth-straight over the Lions, as the Jackets have swept MSJ in each of the past two years.
