Ahmed Abdul Shakoor enters his first season with the Defiance College football program as the defensive backs coach.

Shakoor comes to Defiance after previously serving as the defensive backs coach at SWOSU last season. 

Prior to SWOSU, he spend two seasons at Alderson Broaddus University where he was the special teams coordinator, wide receivers coach, defensive backs coach, tights end coach, video coordinator, and social media coordinator. He helped prepare weekly game plans for upcoming opponents in all special teams and offensive game developement. He also helped in recruiting and recruting areas in the midwest and southern states.

Before his time at Alderson Broaddus University, he spent a season at The College of Wooster where he coached wide receivers and tight ends. Then from 2016-2018 he served as the wide receivers coach at Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He also served as an assistant coach for Clarkston High School in Clarkson, Georgia for two seasons prior.

Shakoor earned his bachelors of science in international business and economics from Marshall University in June 2014 where he also consistently made the Dean's List. He is currently working on his masters of science in digital marketing comminication from West Virginia University.
