Esports loses GLEC Super Smash Bros. match
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College esports’ Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team played a Great Lakes Esports Conference match against Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Thursday night, and lost by a 2-0 score in the best-of-three series.

"Game two of the match was extremely close, coming down to one stock between both teams," Defiance head coach Chris Sanders said.
For the Yellow Jackets, Noelani Schmidt and Tyler Taylor took three stocks apiece. Coi Gossett chipped in with two stocks.
DC has a busy day scheduled in the GLEC this Saturday. At 10:30 a.m., Defiance is slated to play back-to-back Rocket League matches versus Manchester University and Muskingum University before a 12:30 p.m. League of Legends competition with Grace College.
