Fall season of esports ends with Super Smash Bros. tournament
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College esports ended its 2020 fall season with the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team taking part in a tournament with three other Great Lakes Esports Conference members on Saturday afternoon.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College esports ended its 2020 fall season with the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team taking part in a tournament with three other Great Lakes Esports Conference members on Saturday afternoon.
Defiance fell to Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Trine University and Bethel University (Indiana), all by the score of 2-0. The Yellow Jackets played each team in a best-of-three series.
On the day for DC, Christian Rennie had nine takedowns, followed by Coi Gossett with seven. Tyler Taylor added five takedowns.
In Defiance's inaugural season of Super Smash Bros., the squad finished with an 0-4 record during the fall.
