Esports’ Rocket League squad wraps up fall season with 3-0 sweep of Bethel
DEFIANCE, Ohio – On Friday night, Defiance College esports’ Rocket League squad wrapped up its fall season on a high note with a solid 3-0 sweep of Bethel University of Indiana. Defiance’s win in the best-of-five series came in the lower-bracket finals of the Great Lakes Esports Conference Playoffs, avenging an earlier 3-1 loss to BU on Oct. 8.

The Yellow Jackets got out to a great start by rolling to a 3-0 victory in the first game. DC won the second and third competitions by the scores of 2-1 and 1-0, respectively.
Joshua Szostek finished the match with three goals for Defiance while Aaron Sommers scored twice. Christian Rennie chipped in with a goal, plus added a key assist in the Jackets' final game.
DC concludes the fall with a 3-4 record in Rocket League while Bethel is 5-9 overall.
