Esports’ Rocket League squad drops GLEC match to Bethel
DEFIANCE, Ohio – In a Great Lakes Esports Conference match on Thursday night, the Defiance College esports’ Rocket League squad dropped a 3-1 decision in a best-of-five series with Bethel University from Indiana.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – In a Great Lakes Esports Conference match on Thursday night, the Defiance College esports' Rocket League squad dropped a 3-1 decision in a best-of-five series with Bethel University from Indiana.
Defiance got out to a great start with a 3-1 win in the opening game, but then lost three straight. After falling 3-1 and 3-2, the Yellow Jackets suffered a tough 1-0 overtime loss in the final competition.
DC was led by Joshua Szostek, who totaled six goals in the match.
The loss makes Defiance 2-2 on the season in Rocket League while Bethel improves to 2-3 overall, including 1-2 in GLEC play. The Yellow Jackets are scheduled for an RL match versus Trine University this Saturday at 11 a.m.
