Nate Kaffenbarger enters his first season as a graduate assistant for the Defiance baseball program.

Kaffenbarger returns to Defiance after being a part of the Defiance baseball team for five seasons. As a player, he played multiple positions for Yellow Jackets and ended his playing tenure as one of the best hitters in Defiance history. Kaffenbarger sits as the all-time leader in career hits and is tied first all-time in career doubles.

Kaffenbarger was a two-time All-HCAC selection earning Honorable Mention in 2021 and First Team in 2022. He was also named D3baseball.com Third Team All-Region in 2022.

As a student, Kaffenbarger was a the HCAC Men's Represenative for SAAC and on the Executive Board, while also being a baseball camp worker.

Kaffenbarger earned his bachelors of science in education in May 2022 and will work towards his masters degree with a concentration of sport coaching at Defiance College.
