Cross country competes at Ranger Open
The Defiance cross country teams traveled to Kenosha, Wis. on Saturday to compete in the Ranger Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

The Defiance cross country teams traveled to Kenosha, Wis. on Saturday to compete in the Ranger Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
The Course
- The meet was held at Parkside's Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course.
- Milwaukee won the women's 6k and Parkside claimed the while the men's 8k crown.
The Men's Race
- Sophomore John Reese was the top finisher for DC with a 28th place finish with a time of 30:31.8.
- Sophomore Michael Slade (40:28.7), freshman Payton Switzer (44:19.1), and freshman Juan Perez (44:19.1) finished 50th, 51st, and 52nd.
- John Roth from Milwaukee won the race with a time of 25:55.6.
The Women's Race
- Senior Katelyn Smith placed 24th with a time of 27:31.8.
- Katja Bauerle from Parkside was the top collegiate finisher for the women with a time of 23:08.9
