HCAC Announces Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll

DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College Women's Cross Country team was picked to finish 10th in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference coaches' poll announced Tuesday afternoon.
Manchester, the 2017 HCAC second place finisher, secured the top spot on the 2018 poll with 90 points and four first place votes. Rose-Hulman followed in second with 85 points and two first place votes. Bluffton secured third place with 81 points and one first place vote. Earlham grabbed the last three first place votes along with their 80 points to finish fourth in the poll. Franklin and Hanover round out the top five as the programs finish tied with 55 points.
The Yellow Jackets will begin the 2018 season on Fri. Aug. 31 as they travel to Manchester for the annual Hokem Karem meet at 5:30 pm.
