Fett Earns All-HCAC Honors with Performance at HCAC Championship
NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Freshman Olivia Fett (Defiance) led a trio of Defiance runners at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday morning at Manchester University.
NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Freshman Olivia Fett (Defiance) led a trio of Defiance runners at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday morning at Manchester University.
Fett placed in the ninth position in the meet, earning first team All-HCAC honors after running a personal best six-kilometer time of 24:09.50. The time also moves her into the fourth spot on the Defiance College all-time performance list and gives her the Defiance College freshman record!
Senior Aaron Textor (Swanton) placed in the 43rd position in her final chance at the Conference Championship meet, running a time of 26:26.05. Freshman Kenna Bell (Piqua) rounded out the field for the Yellow Jackets, finishing 47th with a time of 26:32.50.
The Defiance Trio will finish off the 2017 cross country campaign on Saturday, Nov. 11 when they travel to Delaware, Ohio for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. The women's race is set to begin at 12 p.m.
