Three Yellow Jackets Compete in Otterbein Invitational
WESTERVILLE, OHIO -- Three individuals from the Defiance College women's cross country team competed at the Otterbein Invitational in Westerville on Saturday morning.
WESTERVILLE, OHIO -- Three individuals from the Defiance College women's cross country team competed at the Otterbein Invitational in Westerville on Saturday morning.
The trio was led by junior Olivia Fett (Defiance), who finished the six-kilometer race in 25:55.5 and in the 44th position in a field of 139 runners. Senior Aaron Textor (Swanton) followed Fett with a time of 27:22.7 and a 72nd place finish, while freshman Kenna Bell (Piqua) followed closely behind with a time of 28:10.6, good enough for 87th place.
The meet was won by Oberlin College, followed by Kenyon College and Otterbein, while the individual competition was won by Oberlin's Linnea Halsten.
DC returns to action on Friday, Sept. 29 with a trip to Cedarville University, as the Yellow Jackets are set to participate in the All-Ohio Championships.
