Miller does it again

MASON, Ohio – The Yellow Jackets traveled down to the Kings Island area to participate in the Wilmington Pre-Nationals Meet.
For the second time in as many races, Eme Miller (Portland, Ind. / Jay County) broke yet another DC record. This time she broke the 6K record by over 40 seconds with a time of 21:34.19. Her time was good enough for 12th at the meet. Of the seven Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference teams that brought runners, Miller finished second.
Coming in next for the Yellow Jackets was freshman Courtney Kunk (St. Henry, Ohio / St. Henry). She finished 155th overall with a 24:19.19.
Kelsey Bowling (Sidney, Ohio / Houston) would take the three spot for DC. She finished 224th overall with a 25:38.77.
Coming in just behind Bowling with a 25:53.08 was Aaron Textor (Swanton, Ohio / Swanton). She finished in 237th place.
Marissa Bussard (Whitehall, Ohio / Bloom-Carroll) would round out the scoring for DC. She finished in 262nd place of the 321 runners. Bussard crossed the line with a time of 26:37.26.
Brittney Holmes (Defiance, Ohio / Defiance) and Anna Prinkey (Brook Park, Ohio / Midpark) also made the trip and they finished with a 27:22.71 and a 30:55.64, respectively.
The Yellow Jackets have a shortened week, as they will travel to Cedarville, Ohio on Friday to participate in the All-Ohio Championships. Race time is set to begin at 2:00 pm.
