Miller named HCAC Runner of the Week

GREENWOOD, Ind. – For her performance at the #JennaStrong Fall Classic, Eme Miller has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week. [Release]

Miller (Portland, Ind. / Jay County) posted a time of 18:54.34 at the meet which featured 43 teams including NCAA DI and DII teams.  The sophomore finished in seventh place out of 413 runners.  She also was the first NCAA DIII runner to cross the line.

A total of seven HCAC teams made the trip to participate in the meet on Friday.  Miller was the first overall finisher of any HCAC runner as well.

On Saturday, November 1, Miller and the rest of the Yellow Jackets will be back in action.  This time they will travel to Richmond, Ind. for the HCAC Championships.  The race is set to start at noon.
