Of the 449 NCAA Div. III schools currently operating in the U.S., 106 schools made the USTFCCCA's All-Academic list, which requires a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.10. The Lady Jackets team was just one of two schools to represent the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference on the list, and ranked tops in the conference and top-50 in the nation with a combined 3.37 grade-point average.
The academic achievement comes on the heels of an outstanding season on the track in which the Lady Jackets placed second at the HCAC Championships for the second-consecutive season. The women's track team garnered numerous accolades throughout the 2010 season including three academic all-conference selections, six All-HCAC honorees, two HCAC All-Sportsmanship recipients, two All-Ohio performers and two HCAC Co-Most Outstanding Freshman-of-the-Year award winners.
The women's track and field squad is scheduled to begin the 2010-11 indoor track season on December 2, 2010, at the Trine Triangular Meet in Angola, Ind.
