Yellow Jackets Finish Third in DC Invitational
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The women’s cross country team finished third at the DC Invitational on Saturday, September 12. Goshen College took the team title with 29 points, edging out second place Huntington University.

Huntington University's Lauren Johnson came in first overall with a time of 18:39, one minute and 48 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
The Jackets placed two harriers in the top five and four runners in the top 15, marking huge improvements over last year's times. Defiance, Ohio native Kaitlin Switzer led the way for the Jackets finishing third overall with a time of 20:42. Freshman Kaye Brockbrader (21:08), made an instant impact for Defiance finishing her first DC Classic in fifth place overall.
Erika Debos and Kelly Neff finished 14th and 15th coming in at 22:07, while Ellen Stryffeler rounded out the top five DC runners with a 21st-place finish.
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Cedarville, Ohio, on September 19, to compete in the Cedarville Invitational.
