DC Women Take First Place at Bluffton Invitational
BLUFFTON, Ohio – The DC women’s cross country team scored 26 points on their way to a first place finish at the Bluffton Invitational on Friday. The Jackets edged out HCAC opponent Bluffton University, who finished in second place with 29 total points.

Defiance native Kaitlin Switzer took first place overall as she finished the 3k in 12:12. Kelly Neff claimed the third place spot for the Jackets as she crossed the line in 12:58, while Erika DeBos finished fifth overall coming in at 13:15. Kara Suffel and Ellen Stryffeler rounded out the scoring for Defiance, finishing seventh and tenth overall respectively.
DC will return to action on Friday, October 2, when they compete in the All-Ohio Championship in Delaware, Ohio
