Jackets Finish Third at Defiance Invitational
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Kaitlin Switzer’s sixth-place finish helped the Defiance College women’s cross country team grab third place at the Defiance Invitational on Saturday, September 13. Macomb Community College claimed the team title with 29 points, edging out second-place Goshen College.

Goshen College's Laura Harnish won her second consecutive Defiance Invitational women's title, overcoming adverse conditions to win the 5K race with a time of 19:43. Switzer improved on last season's 12th-place finish with a time of 21:46, while Amanda Zimmerman (23:05) and Kelly Neff (23:40) also earned top 15 finishes for the Jackets. Courtney Swabb (20th, 25:02) was the next DC harrier to cross the finish line, while Aubry Schafer rounded out the top five with a 26th-place finish.
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Cedarville, Ohio next Saturday, September 20 for the Cedarville University Invitational.
