Bio

Alicia Kalik will be in her third full-time season as an assistant coach with the Defiance volleyball program in 2019 after serving as a volunteer assistant during the 2016 campaign.
 
Kalik is a 2015 graduate of the College and was a standout volleyball player as a student-athlete.  She was a four-time All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference award winner, including the HCAC Freshman-of-the-Year in 2011.  During her tenure as a player, the Yellow Jackets claimed their first HCAC regular-season title in program history (2013) and posted a 72-45 record for a .615 winning percentage.  Kalik went on to help lead DC to a second conference regular-season championship the very next season (2014).
 
Kalik ended her career as program’s all-time leader in assists (3,752) and assists per set (9.17).  She is also the program’s all-time leader in service aces (102) in the 25-point rally scoring era and holds the single-match record for most assists (60).
 
In addition to her assist and service aces totals, Kalik played in a total of 117 matches and 409 sets.  She had 292 kills (0.71 kills per set), had 917 digs (2.24 digs per set) and 170 total blocks (0.42 blocks per set).  
 
Kalik’s success on the playing court also carried over into the classroom as she was a three-time Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC honoree in addition to being a first-team Capital One Academic All-District selection as a senior.
