Bio

Rachael Crucis joined the Defiance College volleyball staff as the assistant coach in the fall of 2023 for her first season of coaching.

Crucis is a Brunswick, Ohio native and was a two-time All-Ohio performer in high school before going on to start all four years at Purdue Fort Wayne. Serving as the team's libero, she earned multiple awards and honors including three Summit League Player of the Week Awards, Summit League All-Freshman Team in 2019, All-Summit League Honorable Mention in 2019, 2021 PFW Invitational All-Tournament Team, and finished her career with 1,805 digs (third-most in Mastadons' women's volleyball history). Crucis graduated from PFW in 2023 with her degree in communication sciences and disorders with a minor in psychology.
