Kalik named HCAC Player of the Week

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Alicia Kalik helped Defiance College to a 3-0 record over the past week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Volleyball Player of the Week.

Kalik (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon) led DC to wins over Manchester, Franklin, and Hanover.  The setter totaled 115 assists throughout the three matches.  In the wins over Manchester and Hanover, she eclipsed the 40 assist mark with 41 assists and 44 assists, respectively.

The senior also had 25 digs during the week, nearly averaging a double-double.  She did have a double-double against Hanover with 44 assists and 12 digs.

Kalik added 10 kills and four aces in the three matches.

Kalik and the rest of the DC Volleyball Squad will be back in action on Wednesday.  They play at Anderson at 7 pm.
