DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College women's track & field team hosted the Dick Small Invitational of Friday evening as they prepare for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
The Yellow Jackets were led on the day by Madi Bowman with a third place finish in the shot put with a toss of 10.61 meters and Meagan Trimpey in the pole vault with a second place finish and a height of 2.91 meters.
In the long jump, Blake Newman found success finishing sixth with a jump of 3.81 meters.
Lisa-Maria Markau also had a strong day as she took fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.57 and the 200-meter run in 29.23.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Mackenzie Moerhman took seventh with a time of 11.10.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, February 16 as they host the HCAC Championships.
