Women's Track & Field Competes at Purdue-Fort Wayne
FORT WAYNE, IND. - The Defiance College women's track and field team opened the 2018-18 indoor season on Saturday afternoon at the Mastodon Opener hosted by Purdue-Fort Wayne. The Yellow Jackets finished sixth in the seven team field with 12 points.
FORT WAYNE, IND. - The Defiance College women's track and field team opened the 2018-18 indoor season on Saturday afternoon at the Mastodon Opener hosted by Purdue-Fort Wayne. The Yellow Jackets finished sixth in the seven team field with 12 points.
Defiance was led on the day by junior Madi Bowman (Eaton) in the weight throw, winning the event with a toss of 14.47 meters. Sophomore Meagan Trimpey (Bowling Green) also claimed a first place finish in the pole vault with a height of 3.05 meters.
Freshman Katlyn Brown had a strong first showing in the high jump as she captured a third place finish with a jump of 1.50 meters.
Defiance returns to action on Saturday, January 12 as they compete at the Northwest Ohio Invitational.
