Defiance Competes At All-Ohio
DELAWARE, OHIO – The Defiance College women’s track and field team traveled to Delaware, Ohio to compete at Ohio Wesleyan University in the All-Ohio Division III Championships and finished 19th out of 19 teams competing.
DELAWARE, OHIO – The Defiance College women's track and field team traveled to Delaware, Ohio to compete at Ohio Wesleyan University in the All-Ohio Division III Championships and finished 19th out of 19 teams competing.
The Purple and Gold was led by sophomore Eme Miller (Portland, Ind. / Jay County) who finished ninth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase event with a time of 11:53.24.
After three attempts, freshman Hannah Williams (Swanton) launched the discus 116' 6" on her final attempt to put her in tenth place.
Rounding out the top-15 finishes for Defiance was sophomore Colby Heeter (Bloomsburg, Pa. /Bloomsburg) who sailed the javelin 93' 6", also on her final attempt, which was good for an 11th place finish.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action on Saturday, Apr. 18 when they travel to Ada, Ohio for the Ohio Northern Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
