ALLENDALE, Mich. – Sophomore Brooke Lime went solo on Friday, May 10, as she was the only member of the DC women’s track and field squad to compete at the Grand Valley State University Second to Last Chance Meet.
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Sophomore Brooke Lime went solo on Friday, May 10, as she was the only member of the DC women's track and field squad to compete at the Grand Valley State University Second to Last Chance Meet.
The Defiance High product ran in both the 100 and 400-meter hurdle events on the afternoon. For the shorter sprint, Lime clocked in a finals time of 15.79 that put her in sixth place. In the 400h, there was a malfunction with the timing equipment and she is listed third with an incorrect time in the results. The sophomore officially finished with an eighth-place mark of 1:08.89.
The next action for the DC women's track and field team will be Monday, May 13, when Lime competes at the Ron Altoff Invitational in Delaware, Ohio. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
