Track and Field Competes at Gregory Invitational
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Defiance College men’s and women’s track and field team took part in the Gregory Invitational, hosted by North Central College on Friday. DC had several athletes competing at the event.

Senior Kyle Tietje placed seventh in the high jump with a mark of 6-05.00. Freshman Troy Parrett, the current DC record holder in the 800-meter run, ran a time of 1:59.13 in the event. Rounding out the day for the men's team was senior Justin Perkins. Perkins took 19th in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:29.73.
Freshman Brooke Lime was the lone competitor for the women's team and ran in two events. Lime was ninth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.43. She also finished 10th in the 100-meter hurdles by crossing the line at 15.02.
Next on the schedule for Defiance is the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships. The event will be held in Claremont, California from Thursday, May 24 until Saturday, May 26.
