DC Ranked Fifth in D3Rankings Great Lakes Region
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College women’s track and field team was ranked fifth in the Great Lakes region and first in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in the most recent d3rankings.us poll.

The Jackets have totaled 95.14 points in the d3rankings poll national poll, which puts the team at 36th overall.
The Purple and Gold are led by junior Katie Heitkamp, sophomore Kim Bingley, sophomore Kali George and freshman Brooke Lime. Heitkamp ranked 38th in the nation in the pole vault, and set a new DC record with a mark of 10-8.00 this season. Bingley is first in the conference in the javelin and fourth in the 200-meter dash. George currently sits 20th in the nation in the high jump, while Lime is 35th in the 100-meter hurdles.
Defiance will be in action on Saturday, April 7th at 10:00 am. The team will travel to Adrian, Michigan to take part in the Adrian Invitational.
