Howell, Switzer Lead Yellow Jackets at All-Ohio Championships

WESTERVIILE, Ohio – The Defiance College women's indoor track and field team competed at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday, February 13. The Yellow Jackets posted numerous strong performances including one school record at the meet.

In the field events, Ashlyn Howell led Defiance, posting a season-best mark of 32-06.50 in the triple jump, which was good enough for fifth place in DC's all-time record book and eighth place at the meet. Kaitlin Switzer led the way for the DC runners, breaking her own school record in the one mile run with a time of 5:33.75.

The women's track and field team is set to compete in the Hoosier-Buckeye Meet on Saturday, February 20, in Terre Haute, Ind. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
