ANDERSON, Ind. - The Defiance College women's tennis team took on a tough Anderson University side on Wednesday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets fell to the one-loss Ravens 9-0.

A.J. Breneman (Bryan / Bryan) and Alexa St. Julian (Oregon / Clay) collected the sole game win for the Purple and Gold in doubles action.

In singles, the Ravens pushed to a near sweep if not for Destiny Oshodin (Toledo / Jesup W. Scott). The freshman pulled one game in each set from her AU opponent.

The defeat brings Defiance's record to 3-9 on the season and 2-5 in HCAC play. After the penultimate 2019 match, the Yellow Jackets will look to finish the season with a victory as they travel to Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, October 12. First serve is slated for 12:00 pm.
