Women’s Tennis Concludes Nonconference Action at Alma

ALMA, Mich. – The Defiance College women’s tennis team wrapped up non-conference action with a weekend trip to Alma College on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Scots 8-1 on the day.

ALMA, Mich. – The Defiance College women's tennis team wrapped up nonconference action with a weekend trip to Alma College on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Scots 8-1 on the day.

Doubles action saw Destiny Oshodin (Toledo / Jesup W. Scott) and Sydney Huston (Indianapolis, Ind. / Lawrence) grab two games from their Alma opponents before falling at No. 2 doubles.

In singles play, Robyn Otey (Toledo, Ohio. / Jesup W. Scott) picked up the lone win for the Yellow Jackets defeating her opponent 6-2 and 6-1.

Defiance's record now stands at 3-8 on the season. The Yellow Jackets will return to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action as the wind down the season with a trip to Anderson on Wednesday, October 9. First, serve is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
