Women's Tennis Topped by Panthers in HCAC Affair
HANOVER, Ind. - The Defiance College women's tennis team made the journey south to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Hanover College on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Panthers 9-0 in the conference affair.

Doubles play saw the Panthers control the action. Destiny Oshodin (Toledo / Jesup W. Scott) and Sydney Huston (Indianapolis, Ind. / Lawrence) were able to grab one game from their Hanover opponents before falling at No. 2 doubles.
A.J. Breneman (Bryan / Bryan) pulled three games in her first set at No. 1 singles. Oshodin was able to tally a game win in her singles battle as well, falling 6-0, 6-1.
Rylea Amspaugh (Nashport / Lakewood) tallied the highest number of games won for the Purple and Gold. The senior grabbed one game in her opening singles set before snagging two more in the second at the No. 5 position.
Defiance falls to 3-6 on the year and 2-4 in the HCAC after the defeat. DC will return to action with a nonconference battle against Indiana South Bend on Thursday, October 3, as they travel to northern Indiana.
