Women's Tennis Falls to Rose-Hulman in HCAC Opener
DEFIANCE, Ohio - A busy weekend for the Defiance College women's tennis team began on Saturday morning with a visit from Rose-Hulman to the Dix Tennis Facility. The always strong Fightin' Engineers prevailed 9-0 in the contest.

On the doubles side of action, number one pairing of A.J. Breneman (Bryan / Bryan) and Alexa St. Julian (Oregon / Clay) took the Fightin' Engineer duo to an 8-4 scoreline.
In number one singles, Breneman hung with Rose's number one in the fist set, falling in a tight 7-5 before dropping the second set.
St. Julian, Rylea Amspaugh (Nashport / Lakewood) and Robyn Otey (Sylvania / Sylvania Southview) each took games from their opponents but were unable to pick up a victory in singles action.
The Yellow Jackets' busy weekend will continue when they welcome fellow HCAC foe Transylvania to campus on Sunday. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 am.
