Women's Tennis Lands Two on All-HCAC
RICHMOND, IND. - Two Defiance College women's tennis players were recognized on the 2018 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-HCAC lists Wednesday afternoon. Senior Hannah Hesterman (Archbold / Archbold) was named All-HCAC, while senior Cayla Walker (Archbold / Archbold) was named Honorable Mention All-HCAC.

Senior Hannah Hesterman (Archbold / Archbold) was named All-HCAC, while senior Cayla Walker (Archbold / Archbold) was named Honorable Mention All-HCAC.
The pair of Archbold, Ohio natives paired together at number one doubles for twelve contests over the course of the season. The seniors finished with a 4-8 record with key wins coming in HCAC matchups against Manchester and Mt. St. Joseph.
Hesterman played in all 16 contests for the Yellow Jackets in the number one singles position. The senior ended her campaign with five wins, including singles victories in each of the four Yellow Jacket wins.
Walker slotted in as number three singles for the majority of the 2018 season, finishing with six wins on the year. The Archbold native was able to earn three of her six singles wins during HCAC action.
Defiance concluded the 2018 season with a 4-12 overall record and a 2-6 mark in HCAC play under the directon of Head Coach Gonzalo Vivas.
