DEFIANCE, OHIO – The Defiance College women's tennis team hosted Hanover (Ind.) College for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup and dropped the match by a score of 9-0.
Despite the overall loss, Defiance (0-9, 0-7 HCAC) earned two games against Hanover (7-2, 6-0 HCAC) for the afternoon.
Juniors Haley Kuhlman (Oregon/Clay) and Nicole Tank (Lincoln Park, Mich. /Roosevelt) both won one game a piece while competing at the second and third singles spot, respectively.
"Hanover is currently the best team in the conference," said Head Coach Tyler Ault. "Our team played as well as they could, given the weather conditions, and we continue to see improvements as our season goes on."
The Yellow Jackets turn around and play tomorrow (Sunday, Oct. 5) when they host Thomas More (Ky.) College. First serve is set for noon.
