Brown, Kuhlman earn postseason HCAC awards
GREENWOOD, Ind. - Defiance College Women's Tennis players Tasha Brown and Haley Kuhlman were recognized by the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference on Tuesday for their performances on the court in the 2013 season.

Tasha Brown (Fowler, Ind./Benton Central) was named to the Honorable Mention All-HCAC team for 2013. The senior played as the number one all season for Defiance. The award is Brown's third recognition from the HCAC After being named to the Academic All-Conference team in two previous seasons.
Haley Kuhlman (Oregon, Ohio/Clay) was recognized by the HCAC as well on Tuesday, being named to the All-Sportsmanship team. The sophomore split the year at the No. 4 and No. 5 position for the Yellow Jackets and picked up a win against Earlham. Kuhlman led the team with 21 game wins on the year.
Franklin College's Melissa Sanders was named the 2013 HCAC women's tennis Most Valuable Player. Transylvania's Laila El Dessouki was named the conference's Freshman of the Year. Hanover head coach Rich Lord was named the HCAC's Coach of the Year.
