DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College Athletics Director Jenni Morrison announced the addition of Tyler Ault to the athletic department staff as the head coach for the Yellow Jacket men's and women's tennis programs.
"I believe that Tyler will be able to step in and build up our tennis programs here at Defiance," added Morrison. "His passion and drive to see success in Defiance Athletics and the tennis program will be great to have in our Athletics Department."
Ault's experience as a student-athlete for Defiance College and his leadership on the tennis courts for the Purple and Gold will add to the transition into the head coach of the programs.
"As a member of the Yellow Jacket tennis team, my teammates and I felt that we were building a tradition of excellence," said Ault. "That tradition is going to continue and grow beyond where we've been. I am excited to continue being a part of it."
A 2010 graduate of Defiance College, Ault was a two-time All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference team award winner for the Yellow Jackets men's tennis program in 2009 and 2010.

"Being a Defiance College athlete was a great chapter in my life and I would like to facilitate that experience to future students. The coaches I have had in my life have had a profound influence on the person I am today. I hope to bring the same positive influence to this program."
Ault earned his Bachelor's Degree from Defiance College in Business Administration with a minor in Information Technology in 2010. Ault went on to earn his Master's Degree from the University of Toledo in Business Administration with a specialization in Leadership.
