St. Francis Defeats Jackets in Women’s Tennis Action

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College women's tennis team fell, 9-0, to the University of St. Francis on Tuesday, October 7.

Amanda Auzins and Mandi Losby battled for 11 games in No. 1 doubles, before falling 8-3. Auzins dropped her No. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-1, while senior Cindy Toth fell 6-2, 6-1 in No. 3 singles. Chelsea French also claimed two games in a set, dropping her No. 4 singles match 6-2, 6-0.

DC (0-15) will be back in action on Thursday, October 9, when it hosts Lake Superior State in its last home match of the season. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
