Women’s Tennis Suffers Loss to Manchester

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College women's tennis team fell to HCAC foe Manchester College on Saturday, September 20. DC, who falls to 0-4 on the season, drops to 0-3 in HCAC play.

Amanda Auzins forced a tiebreaker against Manchester's Milli Ridoutt in No. 1 singles with 6-2 second set victory, before falling 10-4 in the tiebreaker. The doubles tandem of Cindy Toth and Chelsea French also had a close match, dropping an 8-3 decision in No. 2 doubles.

The Jackets will be back in action tomorrow, September 21, when they host Bluffton and Rose-Hulman in a HCAC tri-match. The first match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
