Bio

Jenny Vincent will begin her sixth season as head coach of the Defiance women's soccer program in 2019.  

Vincent, a native of Germantown, Ohio, comes to Defiance College after four years as the primary assistant coach at Ohio Northern University under Mark Batman. During her time in Ada as an assistant, she helped the Polar Bears to a 52-23-10 record, including an Ohio Athletic Conference regular season championship in 2011, along with an OAC Tournament championship in 2012.

Prior to her coaching career, Vincent was also a member of the Polar Bears soccer team as a defender under Batman. In her four years at Ohio Northern as a player, the Polar Bears were 47-22-7. She was also a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative and an athletic training student, working with several Ohio Northern teams.

Following her playing career, Vincent became a certified athletic trainer and completed a graduate assistantship at Boston University, earning her Master’s degree in sport psychology.

During her time as a BU graduate assistant, she primarily worked with BU’s swimming and diving team.  Following her stint in Massachusetts, Vincent returned to serve as an assistant at her Alma Mater. 

Vincent has also been a coach at the club level. During her time in Ada, she also served as the head coach for the Ohio Extreme Soccer Club's U11 and U18 teams from June 2010 to July 2012.

In January 2013, Vincent moved on to coach with the Perrysburg Impact Soccer Club as the U16 head coach and continued with the program as it merged into the Greater Toledo FC Impact. Vincent will remain with the club program while completing her duties at Defiance.

Vincent graduated from Ohio Northern University in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training. Vincent also earned a coaching certificate from her alma mater.
