Three Yellow Jackets Earn All-HCAC Honors
DEFIANCE, OHIO – Senior Kassie Memmer, junior Sydney Hoiberg and sophomore Madi Bowman have been selected to the 2017 All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference team. Memmer and Hoiberg earned Honorable Mention honors, while Bowman was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
DEFIANCE, OHIO – Senior Kassie Memmer, junior Sydney Hoiberg and sophomore Madi Bowman have been selected to the 2017 All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference team. Memmer and Hoiberg earned Honorable Mention honors, while Bowman was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
Memmer earns her fourth all-conference honor after appearing and starting all 16 games this season. The senior concluded the season with a team-high four goals and eight points. She finishes her career with 16 goals ranking her sixth all-time, five assists ranking her tenth all-time and 37 points ranking her seventh all-time. Memmer recorded a career 124 shots, 71 of which were on goal and five game-winning goals.
Hoiberg earns her first All-HCAC honor. The junior transfer recorded 25 shots, 12 of which were on frame. She finished the season with a 48 on goal percentage, appearing and starting in 15 games for the Yellow Jackets.
Bowman appeared in 14 games with 13 starts in frame this season and also grabs her first All-HCAC honor. The sophomore tallied 127 saves ranking her second in the conference, through 2,305 minutes of play. The Yellow Jacket finished with two wins and one shutout. She recorded a season-best 18 saves on Sept. 12 against Malone and recorded 10 or more saves in six contest during the 2017 season.
