DEFIANCE, OH – The Defiance College women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss this afternoon in their season opener against Heidelberg (Ohio) University in the first day of the Purple and Gold Classic.

HU went up 1-0 on the Yellow Jackets at the 26:53 mark before following that with a second goal, three minutes later.
