ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The Lady Jackets picked up their second 1-1 tie in as many games on Saturday, when they played 110 minutes of soccer against the Warriors of Rochester College that ended in a draw.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The Lady Jackets picked up their second 1-1 tie in as many games on Saturday, when they played 110 minutes of soccer against the Warriors of Rochester College that ended in a draw. With one week until their first HCAC matchup of the season, the Jackets are now 1-2-2 overall.
Rochester got on the board first with a goal midway through the first half, but it was the last one that DC's defense would surrender, as they clamped down to hold the Warriors scoreless for the last 93 minutes of the game. Kelly Coble racked up 11 saves in the contest for Defiance, giving the senior goalkeeper a conference-high 42 saves on the season.
DC's Melissa Alston tied the game, 1-1, when she recorded her second goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 61st minute. Neither team would score for the final 48 minutes of the contest.
The Yellow Jackets will host Alma College (5-3) on Wednesday, September 22, before playing their first HCAC contest of the year at home on Saturday, September 25, against Anderson University.
